TRLD Demands Public Holiday on Sept 17

Hyderabad, Sept 14 (INN): Telangana Rashtriya Lok Dal president and MLC Dilip Kumar on Saturday demanded that the State Government officially celebrate the Hyderabad Liberation Day on September 17 on the lines of Maharashtra and Karnataka.

Talking to reporters at Assembly media point, Dilip Kumar said that September 17 should also be declared a public holiday. He said that the governments of Maharashtra and Kartanaka have been celebrating the Liberation Day at a grand scale since a long time. He said the occasion should becelebrated on par with Independence Day.

Dilip Kumar also informed that he handed over a note on the backwardness of Telangana region to the AK Antony Committee. He hoped that Telangana State will soon be a reality.
