Naidu Meets Sharad Yadav

New Delhi, Sept.22 (INN): A day after meeting BJP President Rajnath Singh, TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu called on JD (U) chief Sharad Yadav here on Sunday.

Although Naidu claimed that the meeting was regarding the issue of bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, analyst say Naidu wanted to convey a clear message among political circles that he was open for all options in the next elections. By meeting Rajnath Singh, Naidu made it clear that BJP was not untouchable and meeting BJP’s former ally JD (U), he signaled that he might even go with the proposed third or fourth front.

Talking to reporters later, Naidu blamed the Congress party for the present instability in the State. He said that the Centre should speak to the JAC leaders of both Telangana and Seemandhra to address their concerns. He said he had sought the help of Sharad Yadav in pressurising the Centre to resolve the ongoing crisis in Andhra Pradesh.

The TDP chief said that he would not meet any Congress leader as it was ruling party that created a rift among Telugu people for political gains. (INN)
