24th Batch of Pilgrims Leave for Haj

Hyderabad, Oct 8 (INN): Union Minister of State for Transport Sarvey Satyanarayana requested the pilgrims to pray for the welfare and development of the country and the people. While flagging off the 24th batch of Haj pilgrims at the Haj House Nampally Hyderabad he said that he feels elated on being present here among the Haj pilgrims.

Mohammed Qamarul Islam Minister for Karnataka appealed the pilgrims to pray for the unity and integrity of the country and the nation. MLC MS Prabhakar wished the pilgrims a successful and comfortable journey and said that the Haj pilgrimage is a matter of joy for the pilgirms. Secunderabad MLA Jayasudha also greeted the pilgrims at the Haj House.

CISF Commandant G S Pandey, Dy Commandant Mohammed, Station Manager Saudi Arabian Airlines Prem Kumar, Saudi Airlines Manager Mohammed Iftekhar Ahmed and a host of officials and non-officials were present on this occasion.

The Special Chartered haj Flight left the Airport at 5:25 PM on Tuesday carrying 300 pilgrims including 298 from the neighbouring Karnataka State. So far, 7,792 pilgrims have left by 24 flights for the Saudi Arabia from the Hyderabad Embarkation Point. State Haj Committee Special Officer Prof. S.A. Shukoor Special Officer and Executive Officer Abdul Hameed were also present.
