Student Committed Suicide for not Allowing him to go Tank Bund

Hyderabad, Sept 19 (INN): A 18-year-old student committed suicide after his father not allowed him to go Tank Bund to see the Ganesh immersion on Sept 18 in Santoshnagar Police limits.

According to police, deceased – P Shushanth, s/o Shiva Anand, r/o Santoshnagar, requested his father to allow him to go and see Ganesh immersion at Tank Bund, but father refused his request, later Shushanth tried to convince his father saying that he will go with her mother, the father did not allow him for that also, even her mother refused to go with him as she was ill.

After this Shushant entered the Pooja room and locked the door from inside, in the room he tried hanging himself, her mother saw this from window and somehow they entered into the room, till then Sushanth went unconscious, immediately he was shifted to Apollo DRDO, Kanchanbagh for treatment where in undergoing treatment he died on late hours on Sept 18.

Sub Inspector K Veera Reddy registered a case under section 174 CRPC and after postmortem deceased dead body was handed over to his parents.
