Seemandhra Secretariat Staff Temporarily calls off Strike

Hyderabad, Oct 11 (INN): Following Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy’s appeal, the Seemandhra Secretariat Employees on Friday temporarily called off their strike.

The Chief Minister along with the Group of Ministers on Friday held a meeting at the Secretariat with the striking Seemandhra Employees of the Secretariat. Ministers – Anam Ramnarayan Reddy, Pithani Satyanarayana, Kondru Murali and K Parthasarathy, Chief Secrtary Dr.P.K.Mohanty, other officials, leaders of the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Seemandhra Employees Forum U Murali Krishna, D Murali Mohan, T.Benson, T. Vrenkata Subbiah, K V Krishnaiah, A.Raveendra Rao and others participated in the talks.

The Employees said they have decided to temporarily call off their strike following the Chief Minister’s appeal and in view of the cyclone threat and other troubles being faced by the common people. They said the services of the staff are all the more needed in the cyclone preparedness and relief operations in the likely to be affected districts. The Chief Minister told the Employees that the political issues raised by them will be taken up politically with the Government of India. As far as service matters are concerned, the officials and the Group of Ministers will sympathetically consider all the issues. Finance Minister Anam Ramnarayan Reddy and Employees leaders also spoke. (INN)
