Cyclone Threat: CS Directs Spl. Officers to Rush to Coastal Districts
Hyderabad, Oct 9 (INN): Following directions from Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Chief Secretary Dr P K Mohanty held another review meeting on Wednesday evening in the Secretariat on the preparedness for the cyclone threat.
Special Officers who are appointed to oversee the rescue and relief operations in the Coastal Districts have been directed to proceed to the districts allocated to them. The Special Officers are BMD Ekka (Srikakulam), Rajat Kumar (Vizianagaram), Sanjay Kumar (Visakhapatnam), M Ravichandra (East Godavari), Sanjay Jaju (West Godavari), B.R.Meena (Krishna), B.Venkatesham (Guntur), R.Karikal Valaven (Prakasam) and B.Rajsekhar (Nellore). The District Administrations and all line departments such as Fire & Emergency services, Police, Irrigation, Transport, Electricity, R&B, RWS, MA &UD, Fisheries Departments have been put on alerted.
