What does freedom means to ‘HNY’ cast and crew

The trailer of Farah Khan’s ‘Happy New Year’ which launched on the eve of Independence Day has a patriotic element in the form of “Indiawale”. Freedom is interpreted differently by the cast and crew of the film. For some it is about “freedom of expression”, while others say when society will understand its “responsibility”, we will be free.

At the event some of them spoke about what freedom means to them.
Abhishek says, “Freedom means do what you want to do and live your life on your terms and conditions”.
Deepika said: “Just being able to express yourself without worrying about anything is freedom.”
Composer Shekhar Ravjiani said: “We will feel free when we will respect women and there will be no division on the basis of religion.”
For his partner Vishal Dadlani freedom is equivalent to a “sense of responsibility.”
Senior actor Jackie Shroff said, “Respect freedom fighters… create space for them in your mind”.
