Salman Khan’s Hit and Run Case Files are Long Burnt, Says Maharashtra Government

Strange are the coincidences that occur with high profile cases and the latest in that league is the sensational hit and run case involving superstar Salman Khan, where he was sentenced to 5 years jail and is currently on bail. Seems that the Maharashtra Government has responded to an RTI (Right to Information) query saying that it has no clue on the lawyers, consultants and public servants involved in the case, along with the amount spent on the investigation, as all files were damaged in a fire in the Maharashtra secretariat (Mantralaya)in 2012.

Though these details might not have direct relation to a case where he has been pronounced guilty, there might be a possibility that some missing information might become crucial when he appeals. It’s also reported that the same fire destroyed crucial files regarding to the famous Adarsh Society scam.
