Richa Chadda’s Masaan Gets two International Awards in Cannes
Indian movies are certainly going places, and they are not just limited to Bollywood’s routine films. Director Neeraj Ghaywan’s debut film Masaan (Fly Away Solo in English) did get two awards at the current Cannes film festival (International Jury of Film Critics and Promising Future prize), which is a rare honour for a director of Indian origin. Neeraj had earlier worked as an assistant director for Anurag Kashyap, for his hit movie Gangs of Wasseypur.
Masaan stars Richa Chadda, Vicky Kaushal, Vineet Kumar amongst others and is the story of four individuals in the backdrop of Varanasi and is produced by an Indo-French co-production.
