ranbir kapoor was eagerly looking forward to gain success and strengthen his foothold in the industry with Bombay Velvet, and Bombay Velvet was high on expectations. However, with the bad reviews surrounding the film and its consequent failure, Ranbir is insecure now. In a recent interview, the Saawariya star acknowledged that he has began feeling insecure abut his career, though he has confidence in his work. He still has the much hyped Jagga Jassos with Katrina to look forward to, and also has Tamasha in the making.

What Ranbir needs to figure out at this stage is that the success potential for offbeat and period films is heavily speculative, and for sure success, tried and tested film themes are a must. Ranbir is also to be seen in a biopic on Sanjay Dutt, and if all or at least some of them do well, he can shrug off the dsaster of Bombay Velvet as a bad dream.
