Nag Confident Of ‘Oopiri’ Audio Success

With the super success of ‘Soggade Chinni Nayana’ Nagarjuna entered into the Rs 50 cr club. Now, he is sharing the screen with ‘Awara’ Karthi and Milky Beauty Tamannah for a film titled ‘Oopiri’ presented by Pearl V Potluri and produced by Param V Potluri on the banner of PVP Cinema in association with Kevin Anne. Vamsi Paidipally of ‘Brindavanam’ and ‘Evadu’-fame is directing this heavy budget film and a multi-starrer. The film is coming up as a bilingual. Shooting of this film was complete and the post-production works are in progress now. Efforts are being made to release the film during this month at any cost across the globe. Gopi Sundar scored tunes for the flick and the audio of the film was launched at Novotel Hotel in Hyderabad. King Nag, Amala, senior director K Raghavendra Rao, Karthi, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Kajal Agarwal, PVP, Vamsy Paidipally, Aswanidutt, Sushant, Harish Shankar, Abburi Ravi, Ramajogaiah Sastry, Dil Raju, Raghurama Raju, Sumanth, Gabriel, Kalyan Krishna, Gemini Kiran, Adavi, Dasarath and others participated. Nagarjuna unveiled the audios and handed over the first piece to Amala.
Speaking on the occasion, ‘I took it as a challenge and did films like ‘Gitanjali, Ninne Pelladatha, Annamayya and Soggade Chinni Nayana’. When it comes to ‘Oopiri’, it is a big journey. Some four years ago, I and Amala saw the ‘Intouchables’, the original version of this film. We thought that someone should remake this film and I should be a part of that project. There is an adage that if we have a serious desire, it will happen somehow. After a gap of three years, Vamsy Paidipalli came to me and gave this CD and asked me to watch it. I immediately accepted to do that film. Though, I played a character which is physically challenged, the soul of the character could run. The film has many kinds of elements. Moreover, with this film I have got a friend and brother like Karthi. Producer PVP is the life of this film. I am sure that the film will get a good name on the lines of Shiva, Gitanjali and Annamayya. I wish the entire unit all the best.’
Karthi says, ‘The moment I came to know that Nagarjuna is doing the character, I immediately said a double okay for me. It is a lifelong gift to share screen with him. We tried to give the best in the film. Vamsy too made certain changes to the original story to suit the nativity. Especially the sensibility will be very different. Gopi Sundar gave melodious tunes. I am sure that everyone would enjoy the music in the film.’
Director Vamsy Paidipally says, ‘The main reason for taking shape of this film is Nagarjuna, Karthi and PVP. In fact, I was frightened at the confidence PVP had kept on me and the way he encouraged me is unmemorable. It is just a ‘Breath of Relief’. Prakash Raj’s character would make the audiences burst into laughter. No other artiste could do such character. Gopi Sundar gave melodious tunes. Hari, Solomon, Abburi Ravi gave full support.’
