Listening To The Story, I Thought Of Showing ‘Theri’ To Telugu People: Dil Raju

Popular hero Vijay played hero in a Tamil film ‘Theri’ and the same is being dubbed into Telugu by Dil Raju as ‘Policeodu’, while Kalaipuli S Thanu will be the presenter of the movie. A press briefing was held about the film at Taj Deccan hotel, where the Telugu version producer Dil Raju, heroine Samantha and director Atlee revealed their opinions on the film. Speaking on the occasion, Dil Raju announced that the film would hit the screens during this week. ‘I have a very good opinion on director Atlee. Especially, the way he brought out the film ‘Raja Rani’, impressed me very much. I have been to Chennai recently and heard the story and some scenes and immediately thought that the film should be shown to Telugus. Generally, to dub a film in Telugu, there should be something special. ‘Policeodu’ belongs to the same sector.’ Samantha says, ‘Generally I will be tensed whenever a film in which I was featured heroine is getting released. However, there is no such tension for this movie, because Atlee brought out the film so perfectly. I am confident that the film would be liked by the Telugu audiences.’ Director Atlee says, ‘My film ‘Raja Rani’ was commercially successful in Telugu. After that I had got so many offers from Telugu producers. But I thought of directing a Telugu movie only after a huge hit in Tamil. I want to direct a big budget Telugu movie soon. Policeodu is an emotional thriller that shows why it is important to bring up children in a good way. It will appeal to all sections of the audience.” Vijay, Samantha, Amy Jackson, Prabhu, Radhika, Mahendran and others are in the lead cast of the movie. “Policeodu” will hit the screens in both the Telugu speaking states later this week on a grand scale.
