Is Raj Kumar Hirani Making Biopic on Sanjay Dutt

Filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani who is contemplating a biopic on his good friend and actor Sanjay Dutt is not yet ready to make any official announcement regarding the project.
The actor, who has featured in endearing roles in Hirani’s “Munna Bhai” series, is a convict in the March 1993 Mumbai blasts and is currently serving the sentence at Yerawada Jail in Pune.
On the sidelines of the 16th Mumbai Film Festival Hirani answered when asked about the plans of making a biopic on Sanjay, he said, “I’m here for MAMI (festival organisers Mumbai Academy of Moving Image), so please let’s stick to this subject.”
He further added, “I personally enjoy biopics, and I like the fact that Hollywood is making biopics on unknown people. It’s great. Biopics are very fascinating, but not too many of them are being made here. I certainly find them fascinating, but I feel it’s too early to announce about Sanjay Dutt’s biopic”.
