‘Kaththi’ in Controversy

‘Kaththi’ is trapped in controversy and there are even question marks over its release. This film is directed by Murugadoss and stars Ilayadalapathi Vijay and Samantha. Kaththi grabbed the attention of the audiences as this film came after the duo, Murugaoss and Vijay’s hit film ‘Thuppakki.
Pro Tamil groups are opposing the release of this film. The reason behind their opposition is that they are agitated over the links one of the producers of Lyca Productions with the Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa. The Tamilian pro group has accused the president of being involved in genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka.
The makers had a negotiation with the group and they promised them to release the film after removing the names of Lyca producers. The film’s advance booking had already started in Tamil Naidu.
This film is slated for release on October 24. A group attacked a theatre in which advance booking was being done. Last night they threw petrol bombs on Sathyam and Woodland theatres in Chennai.
A Tamil group named Tamizhar Vazhvurimai Katchi favored the attacks on theatres by the mob and said that the makers didn’t had a talk with them.
