Hyderabad, July 3 (INN): The Telangana Rashtra Samithi on Wednesday demanded that the Congress-led UPA Government introduce Telangana Bill in the Parliament.
Talking to reporters here, TRS MLA K Tarakarama Rao said that the Congress party was trying to delay the Telangana formation by proposing to table the bill in the State Legislative Assembly. He said that Telangana State could be created by introducing the bill in the Lok Sabha. However, he clarified that the TRS was demanding Telangana Resolution in the State Legislative Assembly to expose the true colours of other political parties on the statehood issue.
Addressing a separate meeting later, Siddipet MLA T Harish Rao said that the Congress party should move the Telangana Bill in the Parliament without further delay. He also slammed Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal for opposing the Telangana and said that the Congress MP was afraid of his political career in case of formation of Telangana State.
