Women’s World Cricket Cup: India thrash Pakistan
India beat Pakistan in the opening match of the Women’s World Cricket Cup at Bradman Oval in Australia on Saturday.
India chose to field first after winning the toss and dismissed Pakistan for just 57 runs. Anagha Deshpande (26) and Anjum Chopra (17) took India to a comfortable victory in only 10 overs without losing any wicket.
Among the Indian bowlers, Rumeli Dhar was the leading wicket taker with 3 wickets for 7 runs. Amita Sharma and Priyanka Roy took 2 wickets each. Jhulan Goswami and Gouher Sultana accounted for one wicket each.
