Usain Bolt wins 100 m Olympic Gold
World record holder Usain Bolt of Jamaica won Gold in the 100 meteres dash in the Beijing Olympics 2008 with a new games record of 9.69 seconds.
Earlier, he stormed into the men’s 100m final posting the second fastest time in Games history in his semi-final.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Richard Thompson with 9.89sec took the silver and America’s Walter Dix with 9.91sec won the bronze.
Reigning double world champion Tyson Gay of the United States crashed out of the semi-final, finishing only fifth in 10.05sec.
