Sri Lanka clinch Test series win
With an 8 wicket victory against India in the third Test on Monday, Sri Lanka won the cricket test series by a margin of 2-1.
After bowling out India for 268 in their second innings, Sri Lanka scored 123 for two in 33.1 overs, chasing a modest 122 for victory.
Though Sri Lanka were to 22 for 2 at one stage, but Malinda Warnapura (54 not out) and Mahela Jayawardene (50 not out) added an unbroken 101-run partnership to clinch the match and series.
India, resuming on 161 for five at the start of the day, were eventually bowled out for 268, in spite of strong resistance from Rahul Dravid (68) and VVS Laxman (61 not out).
