Sri Lanka beat India in 1st One-dayer

In the first one day, India won the toss and elected to bat, but were bundled out for 146 runs. Ajantha Mendis  ( 3-21) and Muttiah Muralitharan (3-37) destroyed the famed Indian batting line up. Yuvraj Singh was the top scorer for India with 23 runs.
Mahela Jayawardene scored an unbeaten 61 to guide Sri Lanka to an 8-wicket victory over India.
Sri Lanka achieved the modest target of 147 runs  with more than 15 overs to spare for a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.
