South Africa to host IPL Twenty20 2nd edition
The BCCI has decided to conduct IPL Twenty20 second edition at South Africa as per the schedule to be announced officially by IPL commissioner Lalit Modi and Cricket South Africa CEO Gerald Majola.
The Indian Premier League, the cash cow of cricket, will start from April 17 and has now gone truly international.
The shift of the venues of IPL matches had to be shifted overseas as it was coinciding with the general election schedule and the issue of unavailability of adequate security because the forces are required for the peaceful conduct of elections.
South Africa edged out England on the grounds of better weather conditions available in the April-May period.
