Delhi’s Shikhar Dhawan who has been waiting in the wings of Delhi Destroyer Virender Sehwag, finally showed what he is made of when he got the opportunity. Making his debut in Mohali against Australia in the third cricket test, he displayed no nerves as he smashed Aussies treating them as school boys.
He broke the world record for fastest ton on debut by scoring in 85 balls with the help of 21 boundaries. He is now eying double ton remaining unconquered on 185 runs. This is the highest score for India by a debutant. India finished play at 283/0 with Vijay staying calm with unbeaten 83 runs. Australia scored 408 runs in their first innings.
