A close friend of the Sania Mirza family, hinted that Mirza family was contemplating postponing the wedding between the tennis star and Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik which was scheduled to be held on April 15.
It is apparent that Sania and her parents are clearly perturbed at the ‘ electronic media war’ launched by the Ayesha Siddiqui family against Shoaib. The Mirzas are very particular that the wedding should take place in a much better pleasant mood and frame of mind.
Actually no decision has been taken to postpone the marriage right now, but the options are being kept open in view of the acrimony between the Siddiqui and Mirza families.
The Siddiqui family claims that Shoaib Malik had already been married to Ayesha Siddiqui in 2002. They even filed a police complaint against the cricketer (crime number 391/2010). Ayesha told the police that she had an intimate relationship with Shoaib and had to undergo abortion.
Meanwhile, according to sources, the Hyderabad city police have found enough prima facie evidence to arrest Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik in the cheating and harassment case filed by Ayesha Siddiqui, but is yet to take a decision on affecting the arrest.
The additional commissioner of police (co-ordination), D. Tirumala Rao, said, “Shoaib’s passport was seized for investigation. It has not been impounded”.
The CCS police will send the ‘nikahnama’ furnished by Ayesha to the AP Forensic Science Laboratory to verify the genuineness of Shoaib’s signature.
