NSW Blues win Champions League Twenty20 finals

New South Wales Blues was crowned champion of the inaugural Airtel-Champions League Twenty20 championship after they beat Trinidad & Tobago by 41 runs in the final played at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Friday night.

Put into bat, New South Wales Blues made 159 for 9 in the allotted 20 overs. Bret Lee made 48 and Bravo took 2 wickets. In reply, Trinidad & Tobago were skittled out for 118 in 15.5 overs. Lee (2-0-10-2), S. Smith (4-0-32-2), Clark (3.5-0-21-3) and Hauritz (2-0-23-2) were the chief wreckers.

Brett Lee was named ‘Player-of-the-Final’ and ‘Man-of-the-Series’ of the inaugural Airtel-Champions League Twenty20 championship.
