Within days of complaining about back-to-back to games in Asia Cup and the hectic international cricket schedule in general, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has opted out of the three match Test series against Sri Lanka. He will, in all probability, be leading the team for the five one-dayers that follow.
Interestingly, this comes on the day the most marketable cricketer got connected to a newly-launched sports management company. In a high-profile deal that is expected to be the highest ever for a cricketer, Dhoni got connected to the new firm, Mindscapes Maestros, for life.
But on eve of the national selection committee meeting to pick the Test squad for the Sri Lanka tour, a senior board official confirmed that Dhoni had informed the BCCI about his decision to rest.
