Mahender Singh Dhoni opts out of Lanka tour

Mahender Singh Dhoni opts out of Lanka tour Within days of complaining about back-to-back to games in Asia Cup and the hectic international cricket schedule in general, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has opted out of the three match Test series against Sri Lanka. He will, in all probability, be leading the team for the five one-dayers that follow.

Interestingly, this comes on the day the most marketable cricketer got connected to a newly-launched sports management company. In a high-profile deal that is expected to be the highest ever for a cricketer, Dhoni got connected to the new firm, Mindscapes Maestros, for life.

But on eve of the national selection committee meeting to pick the Test squad for the Sri Lanka tour, a senior board official confirmed that Dhoni had informed the BCCI about his decision to rest.

BCCI schedules all the tours probably a year in advance, then how come Dhoni is complaining now about excess cricket. Rather than pulling out of the unnecessary Bangladesh series, hes opted out for the crucial test series. how about not playing the IPL????
oh wait ,he needs a break for – advertising and marketing demands(same day after we lost against Sri Lanka, he was in Mumbai at an event)
He dint take a break from ODI’s coz he is too clever and selfish to put his captaincy in Jeapordy.
