In a rain delayed match in Cape Town, Delhi Daredevils humbled Preity Zinta’s Kings XI Punjab winning by 10 wickets.

After rain delayed the start of the match by one hour and 15 minutes, the game had been reduced from 20 to 12 overs.

Sehwag led DD won the toss and elected to field. DD Openers Ravinder Bopara and Karan Goel blasted 67 runs for the first wicket in the first six overs. New Zealand skipper and left-arm spinner Daniel Vettori’s 3 wickets turned the tide and Punjab never recovered. Yvvraj’s run out sealed their fate.

When Daredevils started batting,the target was 104 off 12 overs at an asking rate of 8.67 per over. Further rain modified the target to 54 in 6 overs by the Duckworth-Lewis method.

Team Delhi blasted away to a 10-wicket win with Sehwag making 38 with 4 fours and 3 sixes and Gambhir chipping in with 15.
