Indian Hockey Team continued their top performance show in the prestigious AS Cup as they beat the hosts Malasia 3-1 in the final to clinch the 18th Sultan Azla
Shah Cup on Sunday.

The Chak de Team India claimed AS Cup after putting an end to their 13-year-old title. Team India won this coveted title last in 1995 when Team Malaysia finished runners-up at that time.

Arjun Halappa flicked his hockey stick first to put India into lead as early as in the 8th minute of the game but Azlon Mizron of Malaysia restored parity just three minutes later.

The Indian team played their legs and brains out and went ahead through Prabhjot Singh who sounded the board in the 20th minute.
