Anand draws 9th game:leads 6-3
World Champion Viswanathan Anand took a firm step forward to retain the world championship crown by drawing the 9th game with challenger Vladimir Kramnik of Russia in Bonn, Germany on Sunday.
Anand now has 6 points to Kramnik’s 3 and retains the lead of 3 points. Anand is now just a draw away to retain the world championship which he won last year in Mexico.
With only three more to go in the 12 game match, the championship is as good as over unless Kramnik is able to win the last three remaining games with Anand suddenly losing his concentration, which is vey much unlikely, particularly in view of his present form in the match
