3rd ODI: India win, Sachin gets 43rd century
An unbeaten 163 by Sachin Tendulkar helped India to a 58-run win over New Zealand in the 3rd One-Day International on Sunday ensuring that with a 2-0 lead India will not lose the 5-match ODI series.
Left-hander Yuvraj made 87 of the 138-run partnership with Tendulkar, supercharging an innings that had useful contributions from M.S. Dhoni and Suresh Raina as India scored 392 for 4 after being sent into bat first.
It was the highest international ODI score against New Zealand, but the New Zealanders were on target to overhaul it when they reached 166 without loss before the middle collapsed like the proverbial nine pins and they were all out for 334 in 45.1 overs.
