YSR’s brother ready to contest against Jagan
YS Vivekananda Reddy, MLC, and brother of late Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy, said he would stay with the Congress and declared that he was even ready to contest polls against his nephew YS Jaganmohan Reddy who is trying to float a new regional party. He added that he would follow in the footsteps of his elder brother YSR by remaining with the Congress till his last breath.
He denied Jagan’s allegation that the Congress was trying to divide the family and strongly defended Congress president Sonia Gandhi, whom Jagan criticised in his open resignation letter.
There is speculation in the media that YS Vivekananda Reddy is likely to join the new cabinet as a minister.
