Disclosing this to media persons here on Monday, party senior leader and Central Governing Council Member Ummareddy Venkateswarlu said that the Samaikya Rythu Sankharavam will only be the continuation of Y S Sharmila’s Samaikya Sankharavam Bus Yatra.
“In view of Sharmila’s Bus Yatra coming to a close today, the party has decided to launch this Samaikya Rythu Sankharavam in continuation of the programme,” he said and added that the details of the programme would be disclosed in the next two days.
He said farmers would be most adversely affected in case of bifurcation of the state as the projects in the Seemandhra were built on the availability of Krishna and Godavari surplus waters.
“We may get surplus waters in times floods or good rains but there is no guarantee that net waters would be available to the farmers of Krishna and Godavari delta in normal times. Farmers will participate in this programme with their tractors,” he revealed.
