YSR skips mentioning T issue in campaign
The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy sprang a surprise on the voters in Vikarabad on Thursday in his first day of campaigning for the by polls by focusing only on development during his party’s four-year rule. Though the by polls are being held due to the mass resignations by the TRS leaders on the Telangana issue, the Chief Minister strategically avoided mentioning it. He also avoided criticising the rival parties like the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Telugu Desam.
The PCC President, D. Srinivas asked the people to vote for the Congress as it had kept all its promises. The Chief Minister and the PCC president introduced the Vikarabad Congress nominee, Prasad, to the voters.
The Chief Minister, who was travelling in a bullet-proof luxury bus, was forced to shift to a government bus because of a technical snag in the luxury bus.
