Two TDP MPs suspended from Rajya Sabha

New Delhi, August 26 (INN): Two TDP MPs were suspended from Rajya Sabha for a day for disrupting the proceedings of the House over the Telangana issue.

Deputy Chiarman PJ Kurien suspended CM Ramesh and YS Chowdary from House under Rule 255 after the MPs rushed into the well holding placards in protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. They demanded that the government make a statement on the issue. Having failed to convince the TDP MPs to resume their seats to facilitate smooth functioning of the House, the Deputy Chairman announced their suspension for a day. The House was then adjourned for half-an-hour. (INN)
