The Telangana Rashtra Samiti’s Telangana Maha Garjana will be held today at Warangal, which is being planned to be the largest attended public meetings before the submission of report on the Telangana issue by the Justice Srikrishna Committee.
TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao is personally supervising the meeting and is expected to be attended by about 25 lakh people. The aim of the Garjana is to send a message to New Delhi on the aspirations of the people for a separate state.
TRS leaders and workers have been working for over a month arranging for the massive public meeting at the Prakashreddypeta ground at the outskirts of Warangal, which has been renamed in the memory of Telangana martyr Srikanta Chary.
The Maha Garjana, originally planned to be held on December 9 had been postponed to today because of inclement weather.
