Telangana Advocates To Boycott Courts On Friday
Hyderabad, August 29 (INN): The Telangana Advocates JAC on Thursday gave a call for boycott of courts on Friday in the entire Telangana region in protest against the arrest of TAJAC leaders at Vidhyut Soudha.
Talking to reporters here, City Civil Courts Advocates Association president K Jagatpal Reddy alleged that the Seemandhra employees were carrying out false propaganda against the Telangana staff with an intention to stall the formation of Telangana State. He said one Telangana employees Santosh Kumar was physically assaulted on August 24 by some Seemandhra employees. Later, they made a representation to the Antony Committee that Seemandhra staff was being attacked by the Telangana employees.
Jagatpal Reddy said that when a team of TJAC advocates including Rajendar Reddy and Prahlad went to Vidhyut Soudha to find out the truth, they were taken into custody by the police. Other advocates who were proceedings towards the Nampally Criminal Courts were also arrested near the Vidhyut Soudha. In protest against their arrests, he said that advocates would boycott all courts on August 30.
Nampally Bar Association president Prabhakar and TAJAC leaders were also present.
