Hyderabad, Dec 24 : Telugu Desam Party and Left party leaders have decided to intensify their protest against the ‘anti-farmer’ government in the state.
This was decided at the all-party meeting convened at NTR Trust Bhavan on Friday where the attendees took a decision to intensify the agitation until the government comes out with a suitable relief for farmers, who lost their crops in recent rains.
Another crucial decision taken at the meeting was to organize a massive farmers’ rally `Rytu Garjana’ in the capital on Sunday.
The attendees also took a serious note on the health condition of Telugu Desam party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who is continuing his fast for the eighth day for the cause of rain-hit farmers, despite being forcefully given intravenous fluids.
Condemning the police and NIMS doctors for ‘attempting’ to foil Mr Naidu’s fast, the meeting maintained that the TDP chief was still on fast and he would continue to do so till the government announces the revised relief package for farmers.
“How long will this government run with by using the police force?” asked senior TDP leader N Janardhan Reddy.
The leaders called upon party workers to make the ‘Rytu Garjana’ a grand success.
