TDP MLAs ill-treated by Maharashtra police

The Telugu Desam Party legislators who were arrested by the Maharashtra police at Dhanabad were said to be roughly treated by the police when they were being moved to Aurangabad and Nasik jails. The police allegedly behaved rudely with AP media persons also.

The TDP activists in the state staged wide-spread protests against the ill-treatment to the state MLAs and MPs. At many places the agitations turned violent. Public property and RTC buses were damaged.

N Chandrababu Naidu and other 74 legislators and MPs have been remanded to a further five days judicial custody.
