TANA opens International Internship Programme

D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for Higher Education and NRI Affairs, Government of Andhra Pradesh, on Friday inaugurated the second Telugu Association of North America’s (TANA) International Internship Programme for Youth (IIPY) at Care Hospital in Hyderabad in the presence of Care Foundation Chairman Dr. Krishnam Raju and TANA IIP Co-Chair MVL Prasad

The programme is designed to promote Telugu culture among young Americans of Telugu origin particularly those born to immigrant parents of Andhra origin. The Internship will also provide the young NRIs direct experience of living and working conditions of people in the city.

Six scholars Divya Yalamanchili, Sahith Aula, Lekhaj Daggubati, Kirsten Seetha Bondalapati, Rekha Kambhampati and Puja Chebrolu were selected after a detailed screening process by a committee that reviewed their academic excellence, interest in Telugu language and other qualities for the IIPY.
