Hyderabad, August 31 (INN): Ministers from Telangana region on Saturday announced their support for the proposed Peace Rally to be organised by the Telangana Political Joint Action Committee on September 7.
A delegation of TPJAC led by its chairman Prof M Kodandaram called on Telangana Ministers and leaders at Ministers’ Quarters on Saturday seeking their support in getting permission for the Peace Rally. The leaders including Deputy Chief Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha, Ministers – Ponnala Lakshmaiah, B Saraiah and DK Aruna, MLCs – D Srinivas and Mohammad Ali Shabbir and other leaders assured that TPJAC leaders that they would use their influence in getting the permission.
Talking to reporters later, Jana Reddy said that there should be no problem in getting permission for the Peace Rally. Meanwhile, he appealed to the APNGOs to withdraw their proposed meeting to be held on September 7th. He also said that the Telangana leaders would make all efforts to ensure that the Telangana Bill gets tabled in the Parliament at the earliest.
Jana Reddy advised the Congress leaders from Seemandhra region to address their concerns with the party High Command instead of participating in agitations. He also appealed to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy to prevail upon the Seemandhra leaders to end the ongoing agitation.
