With 11 MPs, 87 MLAs and 15 MLCs from Telangana region submitting their resignations, the Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) issued a call for a week-long agenda for protests and agitation.
T-JAC called for a Telangana bandh on 5th and 6th, student rallies on 7th, rail roko on 8th and 9th and vanta-vaarpu on the 10th. There are also indications that Telangana employees may go on an indefinite strike. T-Advocates are likely to boycott courts. Kodandaram, convenor T-JAC said the agitation would not stop until the demand for a separate Telangana state is achieved.
The TRS president K Chandrasekhar Rao said that his party fully supports the T-JAC agenda for agitation. However, he did not say whether TRS MLAs also would submit their resignations or not.
