The Telangana Joint Action Committee (T-JAC) has given a call for a 48-hour Telangana bandh on February 23 and 24. The T-JAC activists propose to seal the borders with Seemandhra and ensure that commercial establishments, schools and colleges are closed and road and rail transport services are blocked. Temporary walls will be constructed on all national highways bordering Andhra and Rayalaseema districts.
All cable operators in Telangana have been asked not to relay any programme aired by channels owned by those from Seemandhra.
Pro-Telangana activists belonging to all parties in general and TRS in particular will stage dharnas at border areas to ensure that traffic on the highways comes to a standstill.
