Status quo not possible in Andhra Pradesh
Srikrishna committee while suggesting six options said that status quo is not possible in Andhra Pradesh. The committee has suggested that Centre should take initiative on the report.
Of the six options, the first three are not possible in practice. The report also gave why it is not possible to implement these three options. It is great irony that after 11 months the report has not suggested any groundbreaking options.
The other three options 4, 5 and 6 are practicable the committee said. 4. Seemandhra and Telangana as two separate States with two state capitals. Hyderabad will be made union territory with Ranga Reddy, Mahabubnagar, Medak and 1330 villages from Nalgonda district. 5. Telangana, Seemandhra division to make Hyderabad as Telangana capital and new capital for Seemandhra. 6. To continue the united Andhra with special Boards for Telangana on education, medicine and development.
Telangana people may vote for the fifth option.
