Hyderabad, July 24 (INN): The ministers from Rayalaseema and Andhra regions have resolved to intensify efforts to pressurise the Congress High Command to restrain from dividing the Andhra Pradesh.
The decision was taken during a meeting of Seemandhra ministers held at Ministers’ Quarters here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by 19 ministers including S Sailajanath,Ganta Srinivasa Rao,Pitani Satyanarayana, C Ramachandraiah, P Balaraju, Kondru Murali Mohan, S Vijayarama Raju, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, S Vishwaroop, TG Venkatesh, K Parthasarathy and Vatti Vasant Kumar. However, three ministers – Botsa Satyanarayana, Thota Narasimham and Manikya Varaprasada Rao did not attend the meeting.
Talking to reporters, Sailajanath said that it has been decided to visit New Delhi on July 26 to meeting the Central leaders, union ministers and others who could influence the Centre on keeping the State united. He said that all efforts would be made before the Congress Working Committee meeting to foil the Centre’s attempt, if any, to bifurcate the State.
