Seemandhra Leaders Say No To Joint Capital

There is no question of Seemandhra Congress leaders agreeing to the proposal of Hyderabad as joint capital of both Telangana and Seemandhra States for sometime, as proposed by V Hanumantha Rao, said Seemandhra MP Forum Convener Kavuri Sambasiva Rao. Rajya Sabha MP V Hanumantha Rao had stated that Telangana Congress leaders would agree for making Hyderabad a common capital for 10 years in the event of a division of the state.

Stating that every issue has a solution, Kavuri said there would be a solution to the Telangana issue. He claimed that all the political leaders of the Seemandhra region have come to a conclusion that united Andhra Pradesh was best in the interests of the people of all regions in the State. He told they would press for the implementing of the 6th option recommended in the Justice B N Srikrishna Committee Report, which clearly opposed carving out a separate state from Andhra Pradesh.
