Hyderabad, Sept 23 (INN): The Andhra Pradesh Secretariat Seemandhra Employees Forum will conduct a Maha Dharna at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi on September 26th and 27th.
According to Forum convenor T Venkata Subbaiah, the Maha Dharna titled “Save Andhra Pradesh” is being organised to protest against the Congress-led UPA Government’s proposal to bifurcate the State to carve out Telangana State. He said that a candle light rally will also be taken out from Andhra Pradesh Bhavan to India Gate junction. He said all the political parties have been invited to participate in Maha Dharna.
Subbaiah said that the Centre has abruptly declared to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh without any specific modalities for the division on July 30. “This leads to irreparable loss to the Employees of Secretariat hailing from Andhra-Rayalaseema regions. Their service conditions, financial status, rights and their family life will be hampered and they will be put in doldrums. Certain concerns will also arise in Telangana region in future,” he said.
