Samaikhya Andhra Activists held at Indira Park
Hyderabad, July 20 (INN): Several activists of Samaikhya Andhra Parirakshnana Samithi were taken into custody at Dharna Chowk, Indira Park, when they tried to hold protest demanding that the Centre keep the State united.
Samithi found G Kumar Chowdhary Yadav and other leaders had earlier announced that they would launch 72-hour Deeksha in favour of united Andhra Pradesh. However, the police did not permit the Deekhsha. Defying police orders, the Samaikhya Andhra activists assembled at Indira Park and tried to hold protest. Foiling their effort, police took them into custody and shifted them to a nearby police station.
