Rosaiah and DS leave for Delhi
The Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah and the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committe president D. Srinivas left for New Delhi on Wednesday night.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to attend a meeting of the core group on prices of essential commodities scheduled on Thursday. He may seek amendment to the Essential Commodities Act, restoration of 45,000 tonnes of rice to the “under the above poverty line” category and more storage space for food grains.
The CM is likely to call on Congress party president Sonia Gandhi and other Central leaders to seek permission to undertake Cabinet expansion.
