Rice on Mumbai attack: If Pak doesn’t act, US will
On her visit to Islamabad, US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has told Pakistan government that there is incontrovertible proof of the involvement of elements based in that country in the Mumbai terror attacks. She has told the Pak leaders that they had no option but to act urgently otherwise, the US will act.
During her visit to India, Rice was shown the irrefutable evidence gathered by investigators to prove the direct link between the Mumbai attackers and Pakistan-based elements, especially the banned Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) terror group.
Rice warned the Pakistan that if they did not act urgently, then the US might be forced to take action. She however did not reveal what action the US would take.
