PRP to contest in Orissa, Tamilnadu and Karnataka
Chiranjeevi, president Praja Rajyam Party announced that party candidates will contest for Lok Sabha in Orissa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu in the areas where sizeable population of Telugu-speaking people reside.
Expressing confidence that the party would be voted to power in the coming elections, he decried the attitude of the TDP and the Congress towards formation of separate Telangana and promised to pass a resolution in the Assembly as soon he came to power.
Chiranjeevi termed the statement of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on separate Telangana in the Assembly on the last day of the session a deliberate attempt to divert the attention of the people and the opposition parties from the corruption charges on Saakshi paper owned by CM’s son Jagan.
