The Congress high command has constituted a three member committee consisting of the finance minister Pranab Mukherjee, AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh and the AP state in-charge Veerappa Moily to resolve the issue of successor to the late Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy.
Pranab and the other members are likely to visit Hyderabad around September 10 and hold discussions with the state party leaders.
The very fact that such a power-packed committee are sent to talk to state leaders may mean that the Congress high command is considering various alternatives to the successor issue.
The committee is said to be not happy with the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy as CM campaign. However, those who support Jagan have intensified their campaign and are planning to meet the Pranab committee when they arrive to Hyderabad.
