PM: No change in India’s stand on Pakistan
Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on Wednesday stated in the Parliament that Pakistan has admitted for the first time that its nationals belonging to a terrorist organisation Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) based on its soil carried out a terrorist attack in India. He said that the admission was made in a dossier given by Pakistan just before he left for his visit to France and Egypt.
Dr Singh said that the dossier detailed the planning and sequence of investigation by Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency, which included the copy of first information report lodged along with photos of the arrested persons.
The PM defended the Indo-Pak joint statement stating that Pakistan did not give any dossier to India on Balochistan when he met his Pakistani counterpart Yousaf Raza Gilani in Egypt July 16 on the sidelines of NAM summit.
Dr Manmohan Singh said that there is no change in the foreign policy of India towards Pakistan.
